Ladies Qualify for National Plate Competition

Yesterday our Ladies played Glasgow University II in the First Round of the Scottish Cup.  With this being our Ladies first competitive game of the season, especially against a strong side, it was always going to be a tough game.

Our Ladies defended well but unfortunately were defeated 0-6.

On the positive side they had another debutante – Emma Gordon, who had a strong first performance for the club!

Players of the Day went to Bella Ackerley and Caoimhe Duncan!

However, the Ladies Captain Nicola Tisdall took a tumble and was awarded the Suit in the picture below!

Our Ladies now qualify for the plate and go into Wednesday night as positive as ever!

First Team vs ESM

Our first team continued their campaign today with a 3-2 win at Home against ESM!

Going in at half time 2-1 up to finish off the game in the second half!

Callum Boag scoring 2 of the goals with Josh Havens scoring the winner!

Man of the Match was Callum White with Craig Munro as DOTD!

Well done boys! 6 points out of 6!

Development Team vs Harris 3’s

Our Third Team took on Harris 3’s today with the final score being 1-1.  The goal scorer for Monarchs was Dylan Austin from our Youth Section!  Dylan then took a ball to the face but avoided serious injury.  Great for him to get on the score sheet and we are excited for you to return Dylan!  Hope you recover quickly and we see you back in green!

A hockey star in the making??

First Team Positive Start

Our Men’s First Team began their National League 3 campaign away to Greenock this weekend.  They went 1-0 down before Callum Boag levelled the score before they conceded again going into half time 2-1 down.  Starting the second half much better Callum Boag scored another penalty corner before Josh Havens scored on his competitive debut to get the victory.  Well done boys!
