Weekend Action

Apologies for the lack of updates recently however we are back!

Today our Mens Second team play Dundee University at Dawson, 11am PB!

Our Mens First Team follow this by playing Aberdeen Grammar at 2pm at Dalnacraig!

Tomorrow our Ladies are playing Edinburgh University 5’s at Peffermill, 11:30am in the Scottish District Plate!

Our Men then play Grange at Fettes, 2pm in the Scottish Cup Second Round!

Finally we have our Race Night tonight at Morgan Rugby Club at 7pm!

We would love to have your support at our games and Race night if you are at a loose end!

Weekend Action!

Today our Ladies are playing Madras II at Dalnacraig! Push back is at 2pm!

Our men have no games this weekend due to the National  Inter-districts Tournament in Glasgow this weekend.  Good luck to our Men’s Captain Callum White who is coaching the U16 Midland Team and Lewis White who is Umpiring at the event!

So why not come down to Dalnacraig and cheer on our Ladies! Surely you need some hockey in your weekend!

First Team vs ESM

Our first team continued their campaign today with a 3-2 win at Home against ESM!

Going in at half time 2-1 up to finish off the game in the second half!

Callum Boag scoring 2 of the goals with Josh Havens scoring the winner!

Man of the Match was Callum White with Craig Munro as DOTD!

Well done boys! 6 points out of 6!




Weekend Fixtures!

This weekend we have three matches happening for three different teams!

First up we have our Men’s Second Team against Grove Menzieshill III at Dawson Park, 11am on Saturday!

Also on Saturday we have our Men’s First team continuing their National League 3 Campaign against ESM at Dalnacraig, 2pm!

Finally on Sunday our Ladies have their first competitive game of the season against Glasgow University II at Dalnacraig, 12pm in the Scottish Cup!

First Team Positive Start

Our Men’s First Team began their National League 3 campaign away to Greenock this weekend.  They went 1-0 down before Callum Boag levelled the score before they conceded again going into half time 2-1 down.  Starting the second half much better Callum Boag scored another penalty corner before Josh Havens scored on his competitive debut to get the victory.  Well done boys!

Monarchs crowned Indoor National 3 champions!

A 3-0 win over Uddingston at Bells Sports Centre yesterday saw Monarchs 1s crowned Indoor National 3 champions.  The win sealed back-to-back championships, and meant Monarchs 1s will be competing in Indoor National 2 in the 2013/14 season.

Focus now shifts back to outdoor, with a Scottish Cup tie against National 1 team Western Wildcats coming up in Glasgow on February 16th and then the second half of the Outdoor National 3 league season starting on March 9th.
